This is a rare, old Original Ca. 1837, Antique MARTIN VAN BUREN Presidential Coin Token. This token has some slight rim dings and flat spots. It is properly hole punched for suspension, to be worn. There is some very slight scratching. The Bust has good relief and is Initialed at the bottom edge I. F. T. . The Details on the front and back are excellent. This lettering on this Presidential Coin is very clear. On the front it says: MARTIN VAN BUREN & DEMOCRACY. On the reverse it says: A UNIFORM & SOUND CURRENCY THE SUB TREASURY , saying LIBERTY under the center dome. A rare Presidential Coin / Token from the 8th President of the United States, 1837 - 1841.
