Beautiful 19TH CENTURY OLD PARIS hand-painted porcelain portrait vase. The vase is white and decorated with hand painted very elaborate gold gilt accents (some purposely raised paint areas) and has the portrait of a richly adorned lady on a gold gilt patterned background. This vase measures 7.75 inches tall by 4 inches wide. The condition is EXCELLENT as far as no chips, cracks, or gold rubbings. However, there is a hole drilled in the bottom as if someone were going to make a lamp out of it. (Please see the last two pictures. There is a little light cracking where the drill hole is, but it doesn\'t impact the stability or beauty of the vase. Considering that the drillhole is UP IN the inside of the vase , it should not cause future cracking, however, will not hold water.). This is from my personal collection and I have had it in my collection for the last 30 years… So it\'s one of the finer painted Old Paris pieces that is highly collectible.
