Old Vintage Antique Chiltern Flat Face Hugmee Dog Nose Mohair Teddy Bear. 1950's For Sale
Sad looking Chiltern Hugmee flat faced teddy bear standing at just over 16" tall.
This folorn looking bear was made by Chiltern in the 1950's and stands at 16" tall. He is five ways jointed
and his head is wood wool stuffed and his body is stuffed with kapok. He has quite a good covering of mohair
but it is quite grubby and flattened and he could do with a light surface clean which would also fluff him up a little.
There is some overall thinning but no major bare areas and I would estimate he has retained a good 90% coverage. Despite the fact he has been loved, he has retained all his original features, including his amber and black glass
eyes and his black plastic dog nose. His rexine pads are also original with light stains but no holes or other damage
and he has four stitched claws on each pad. Apart from the fact he is a bit grubby he is actually in quite good,
original condition and with a little TLC he could be restored to some of his former glory.
He will appeal to those of you that like their bears with character and hopefully his new owner
can put the smile back onto the face of this sad and folorn looking bear!
