Old Vintage Antique Chiltern Mohair Teddy Bear Circa 1930's (english Character) For Sale
Golden mohair Chiltern bear standing at 14" tall. Circa 1930's.
This one of a number of lovable Chiltern bears I am currently offering for sale so please see my other listings.
This bear has been loved but he is still in clean and sturdy condition and is a very sweet looking bear.
He has a fair covering of his soft gold coloured mohair but with overall thinning and lots of bare areas on his torso
and arms and head and I would estimate he has retained about 30% coverage overall.Two of his cotton pads are original with no holes or damage and two have been neatly recovered with pale velveteen
and he has three claw stitches on each paw, which I suspect are also replacements, although some may be original?
His nose and mouth stitching are original with the the two outer stitches extending upwards which was a feature
of Chiltern bears from the 1930's. One glass eye is a replacement and a little more bulbous than the other, although
it is still quite a good match and he has a non working squeaker in his tummy.He is a very sweet looking bear and will travel to his new owner wearing his knitted cardigan and scarf
to keep out the winter chill, as he was when he came to me. This sweet little Chiltern bear is being offered with a very low starting price and to the highest buyer.************************ to the UK - Special delivery including tracking and insurance - £6.55
