Old Vintage Antique Deans Rag Book Felt/cloth/mohair Bellhop Duck Doll/teddy Toy For Sale

Unusual Deans Rag Book? bellhop duck toy. Circa This unjointed felt/cloth bellhop duck was probably made by Deans Rag Book in the 1920's-30's
and stands at just over 12" tall. Although this duck no longer has any labels or identification,
I have had almost identical labelled duck toys in the past (one modelled as Donald Duck)
and I am fairly sure he was made by Deans.He is constructed from a mixture of cotton, felt and mohair with an orange felt beak and a tinplate
and card pillbox hat which is covered in green felt. His overall condition is quite good but you can see
from the photos that he is missing a few buttons on the front of his jacket and he has had some black felt
patches attached to his shoulders and tail which I assume are covering up some small holes.
His legs are also a bit wobbly and he is not able to stand up of his own accord although he can stand
if he is leaning against something. He is quite a rare toy and very smart in his Bellhop uniform
and with a little tlc and maybe a light surface clean he could easily be restored to his former glory.
