Old Vintage Antique Large Chiltern Orange/gold Colour Mohair Teddy Bear C 1930s For Sale
Large 1930's Chiltern bear with rare orange gold (ginger) mohair. This large 1930's Chiltern bear stands at a substantial 20" tall from the tips of his toes to the tips of his large ears and is five ways jointed with all his joints working smoothly and he is completely kapok stuffed. He has been loved, as you can see from the photographs, which can be enlarged so you can assess his condition, but he still retains about 50% of his mohair which is a rare bright orange/gold colour. I would almost describe him as ginger. There are bare areas on his tummy, head, legs and arms but he has a slightly better coverage on his back and he has all the typical features you would expect from a Chiltern bear from this era including his vertical nose stitching with the outer stitches extending upwards. His pads were replaced long ago and his ribbon is vintage rather than original to him but I think his pale glass eyes are original and he even has a faint, but still working tilt growler in his tummy. He is a large and handsome chap and although he has been loved, he is essentially a sturdy bear, in a rare ginger colour and he is being offered with a very low starting price and to the highest buyer - special delivery including insurance - £9.95 Europe - International signed for post including insurance - £16.95 US, Canada, Australia, Japan - International signed for post including insurance - £24.95
