Old Vintage Navajo Pawn Sterling Silver & Turquoise Concho Belt 36" For Sale
Up for consideration is a beautifulearly vintage Navajo pawn, hand hammered sterling silver (925) and turquoise concho belt. This silver link concho belt consists of fifteen conchos. Fourteen of the conchos are oval in shape, each measuring 1 1/4 inch x 1 1/2 inch and one rectangular shaped buckle with rounded corners and metal latch on the back. It also measures 1 1/4 inch x 1 1/2 inch. Each concho contains a blue turquoise stone set in a hand hammered bezel. There is a simple hook on the underside of the buckle which can be hooked on to any one of the loops to allow for adjustment. At its full length the belt is 36 inches long. It weighs 2.80 ounces or 79 grams.The belt is unsigned and unmarked as was the case with many of these early pieces.Please exanine the photos as they offer the best description. This beautiful early Navaho concho belt looks great worn by itself or worn through the belt loops on jeans. Because of its adjustable length, it is versatile and is a great accessory for a man or a woman.
