OLD ZUNI STERLING SILVER FLUSH SET TURQUOISE INLAY BRACELET AND RING
Old hand made Zuni bracelet and ring dating back to around 1950's or 1960's. Attributed to Mathew and Rosemary Lidase.
According to historian Gregory Schaaf, the engraved hallmark M&R belongs to Zuni Mathew & Rosemary Lidase. I wonder if the Lidases are or were members of the Dishta family, because this flush inlay of small round turquoise are distinctive of the Dishta family of Zuni pueblo. Starting with Frank Dishta, the Dishta family of artisans developed this style of turquoise inlay jewelry.
