Ooak Repaint Daryl Dixon The Walking Dead Action Figure 1/6 Scale Nr For Sale
As a fan of the series I sure had a lot of fun creating my version of Daryl Dixon (my personal favorite from the Walking Dead). This sure has been a change from repainting Fashion Royalty dolls but I have to admit it has been a wonderful "journey".
I acquired Daryl's blank head from a Thai sculpt artist who did a wonderful job. I placed him on a brand new (bought for this purpse only) TTL 3.0 A body for which I used "putty" inside the head so the neck has full fuctionality and it is still really easy to transfer him to a different body (f.e. hot toys)
Daryl's skin has been built up with different layers of skintones and mixtures, I also made sure to give him somewhat of a "smudgy" look...as said, I love this character butwould have to admit he's not the most hygienic looking from the series :P. For Daryl's hair alone, I used 7 different shades of brown.
Daryl's head will be sealed with professional Liquitex matte sealer (eyes can be glossed if the winning buyer so desires)
Daryl comes complete with his full outfit which includes a tank top, a pair of jeans (both deliberately (coffee)stained (which for me felt really awkward as I'm always very careful with my doll outfits)) and a pair of boots. All fashion was bought new for this project.
Now, Daryl wouldn't be Daryl without his trusted crossbow so this is also included in the sale. The crossbow is very detailed and a perfect 1/6 scale, it even comes with arrows :D. I've created the strap from real leather and added a clasp on one side.
For close combat situations, I've also included a knife!
To address Daryl's "darker side" I've included his infamous "ear necklace" (unfortunately two barbies had to give their "lives" to create this one ;) )
