I'm so excited to introduce my newest little mink panda bear cub! I've named her Bao Ai Ma which means “Baby Emma” in Chinese. I named her after a young friend who encouraged and helped me while I was working on her.

Creating and photographing Bao Ai Ma was a delight! She melts my heart every time I look at her. I hope you love her as much as I do!

Bao Ai Ma is a one of a kind artist baby panda bear completely designed and hand sewn (no machine sewing) by me, Melisa Nichols. She is very detailed and as such she is her own unique individual and can not be duplicated ~ a true one of a kind. Many, many hours went into this baby! I do not work with patterns - just from photos and drawings, so there is no pattern she can be remade from.

Bao Ai Ma is made from very soft and luxurious vintage recycled black mink fur and white ermine fur. Both furs are recycled from vintage coats. In my years of recycling coats, this is the only ermine coat I've found. It has a light sprinkling of black guard hairs, which adds more uniqueness to this little panda baby.

Bao Ai Ma has been completely lined as are all my real fur bears. She is 5 1/2” inches tall.

Bao Ai Ma's sweet baby face is very detailed. Her face has been scissor sculpted, thread sculpted and hand shaded. She has soulful black glass eyes and moveable eyelids - she can be posed awake, sleepy or fast asleep. I created a cute and realistic epoxy clay nose for her. Because of all this detailed work, I will never be able to create another panda just like Bao Ai Ma.

Bao Ai Ma's paws pads are leather and I've thread sculpted and hand painted them. I've given her epoxy clay claws which I hand sculpted and hand carved to give them extra realism. They've been shaded and sealed. Bao Ai Ma also has a wired tail.

Bao Ai Ma is completely hand sewn and filled with polyfil, pellets (in her tummy), and an extra portion of cuddles. She is armatured for lots of fun poses!

Bao Ai Ma will arrive in a special box with hang tags that include her birth date, a picture of her and a signed Certificate of Authenticity. She is a collectable baby bear made for display only - not suitable for children due to small parts.

This includes up to $1000 insurance for most countries (Canada Post will not insure to all countries). Free shipping is by surface mail which usually takes 1 1/2 to 2 weeks to US destinations and 6 - 8 weeks to overseas destinations.
