This is an interesting Meissen figurine group with the naked female & childrenofwhich:
During our research we have been informed it certainly dates from the mid 18th century.
Dates about c1760s.
To the rear: a Meissen mark.
Porcelain ceramic.
Reclining naked female figurine tipping an urn of water into the water.
A duck to her front.
To the rear: two naked children, one with a basket.
All are by the waters edge with leaf decoration.
To the rear: bulrushes.
It has an overall height of about 7.5inches.
Base size of about 6 x 3.5inches.
Condition: Considering the age, the overall condition is the figurine group has been subject to:
overall early restoration to all three figures.
The bulrushes and to areas of the rear.
All as per pictures..
With today\'s modern & advanced restoration techniques, can certainly be improved.
Besides being a very collectable, mid 18th century Meissen reclining naked female figurine with the children by the watrers edge, c1760s, would also look fabulous displayed.
