Original 1864 Civil War Patriotic Token - Small Cent Type Copper #2 For Sale

Original, 1864 Civil War Patriotic Token featuring the United States Navy Ironclad Ship "USS Monitor". This fantastic token measures approx. 3/4" in diameter.. It features an image of the USS Monitor on the obverse with 12 stars above the Image and the date "1864" below the Image. On the reverse is text that reads "Our Navy" surrounded by olive branches.

We are not coin or token dealers and do not know how to grade this type of copper token but have included high quality scans of the token which give a very good indication of the condition. There is only very light wear to the highest spots of both sides of the Token and the Token retains significant remnants of the original copper luster surface in the recessed areas. The strike is crisp and strong and the Token is very attractive.

A rare and original, United States Navy, "U.S.S. Monitor" copper Civil War Token and a fantastic addition to any collection!!!
