Up for offer is a tremendous Brooklyn veterans medal and CDV named to William Frevert who was wounded in action on 7/2/1863 at GETTYSBURG. Frevert had service in both the 87th & 40th NYSV and transferred into the veterans reserve corps on 11/15/1863 after recovering from his wounds sustained at Gettysburg. The medal is in fine condition with some soiling and wear to the ribbon. The CDV is identified on the back in period ink. I am not certain but believe Frevert lost his arm at Gettysburg. This is the best Brooklyn medal that I have owned. Guaranteed authentic in every regard.

Thanks for looking and please be sure to view my other items for additional Militaria. Thanks
