ORIGINAL VINTAGE WWII ERA KA-BAR FIGHTING KNIFE w/ORIGINAL SHEATH VET ESTATE:

This sale is for an original WWII era Ka-bar military fighting knife; it is marked with only \"Ka-bar\", no other markings found; bought it recently from a veteran\'s estate with a couple other items we have listed this week. Didn\'t do much to clean it up, just wiped it down with a coat of oil; has a peened pommel (not pinned); blade has been sharpened but no grinder or file marks seen; blade shows staining, some heavier rust which should be able to be removed, along with some pitting along the blade edge that looks like it could honed out; cross guard is tight, stacked leather handle is tight. Comes with it\'s original leather sheath; snap works fine but is sticky, a little oil might do the trick. Sheath has staples along the inside line of the stitching; the stitching at the throat area is worn and there is a slice in the leather at the tip of the front of sheath, looks like someone tried to put the knife in backwards?See our current listings for an M-1 Garand bayonet from the same estate, along with a wide variety of other vintage toantique items--we are always happy to combine shipping!
