This is an original WWI propaganda poster, not a reproduction. By artist Howard Chandler Christy, Fight or Buy Bonds for the third liberty loan 1917. The poster is large, 40 inches by 30 inches. Says Forbes Boston in the lower right hand corner and 2-A in the lower left hand corner. The poster is in excellent condition considering it is 98 years old and the paper quality these were printed on is not the greatest. The coloring is vibrant and bright, no fading. I don\'t think this poster was ever hung up. It doesn\'t have any thumbtack marks or tape residue, but the poster is not perfect. There are some moisture marks in the bottom left, a couple of tiny holes, and a couple small rips along the edges. Please check out the close ups of the photos, every imperfection can be seen in the photos of the front and back of the poster. The pictures are the best description of what this looks like. The last picture shows what the poster looks like framed. This is a really nice example of this hard to find poster. Shipping will be in a hard cardboard tube and include insurance for the full sale price.
