Original Wwi German Artillery Luger Holster Stock For Sale
An all original World War I leather holster/stock for the German long barrel artillery model Luger P08 pistol. This is an original holster, not a reproduction. ATF rules about this stock are especially strange, even by ATF standards. It is only legal to attach this stock to a P08 artillery model pistol, not a standard, navy or any other model, even if it has the appropriate mounting shoe. Likewise, you cannot attach a navy stock to anything other than a navy Luger. If you wanted to attach the stock to a different model, under the ATF rules you would be creating a new short barrel rifle which would not be grandfathered in, and you would have to apply for the appropriate $200 tax stamp. So we cannot attach our standard P08 to the stock, although we have tested the stock with an actual artillery Luger and it did fit perfectly. It stayed firmly in place and the locking lever worked correctly. The wood stock is marked with the Imperial German crown and an 'S', meaning that this holster came from the Spandau armory. The leather cover flap is marked by the manufacturer, Werres 1917 BerlinI am not by any means an expert on holsters and I do offer a full refund less return shipping for 14 days. I have sold almost everything in my father's collection and I have only received great reviews from everyone. It has a few things missing as I pointed out in the pictures and a torn strap which all can be bought separately from . On Mar-07-13 at 18:47:27 PST, seller added the following information:
I apologize for an error in my description, this holster has not been tested with an actual artillery Luger but the stock does have the "S" stamped clearly visible. To eliminate any confusion I will pay for shipping along with return shipping if the winning buyer is not happy with the purchase.
