Shipping & Handling Charges
The carriers determine the cost of freight based on the fact we are 82 miles one way from the closest Nebraska terminal. Buyers are billed the actual cost of shipping only. We do not make a profit on freight charge. We do not charge the buyer for handling charges. We absorb all the labor costs in handling & preparing your furniture. We pay for all the materials.
Buyers that purchase more than 1 item may have a lower shipment cost if the selected items can safely be shipped together. We combine shipment whenever possible & pass the savings onto the customer.
All Freight Shipments are for TERMINAL PICK UP
Buyer agrees to pick up their furniture at the respective terminal within 3 days.YRC freight shipping amount is for pick up at the YRC freight terminal or a commercial business address with a dock.
Freight charges do not include additional services. The personnel at local terminals are not aware of the terms of this sale. Nothing beyond Buyer pick up at the terminal is included. Buyers wanting additional work done on their end, must pay for the extra service. Buyers are charged the actual rate, so there are no funds available for any extra services.
No additional services are included in the freight charges. Freight charges are for shipping cost only.
Buyers are welcome to use their own shipper. We are a small company in a little town. Buyers that own a large business may have a better shipping rate. Buyer pays the freight company they have selected. We need a copy of the buyers BOL prior to pick up. FURNITURE PICK UP
Buyers picking up furniture pay sales tax.
Buyers immediately picking up furniture need to bring cash.
Please schedule a pick up time so the purchase is easily accessible. We prefer at least a 24 hours notice.
We offer a generous 90 days of free storage for furniture pick up and/or the shipment.
After 90 days, storage charges of $25.00 a month per item apply.
We are unable to store furniture past one year.
Murphy's Law happens ! We have loaded a piece from one of eight buildings, driven to Manor House to cancel the item. Alas, someone online also purchased the exact item! Although this is a rare event, it has happened. We refund Buyer payment in full.
Ownership of the item transfers to the Buyer with payment. It is the Buyer's responsibility to inspect their freight thoroughly at the terminal & note any dents, gouges, tears in outer layers, broken wood in pallet, or any other areas of rough handling. It is essential buyers note areas of concern on the bill of lading above their signature. Example: dented right corner
* All insurance proceeds go to the Buyer. We do not reimburse for damage caused in transit, replace the item or refund the purchase price. Insurance serves this purpose. Buyer must fill out & return all required EARTHJUNK forms at their earliest possible convenience. All insurance claims require the buyer's signature on a Fraud Prevention Statement.
It is the buyer's responsibility to save all packaging materials & boxes, save the damaged item(s), take photos of damage & complete the required paperwork within 15 days. The buyer must cooperate with the shipping company/insurance company/seller. When the contact occurs for additional information, to schedule pickup, to inspect the items(s) or any other information needed to complete/process the claim the buyer must do their part.
Processing the claim is a teamwork effort between the buyer, the shipping company, the insurance company and the seller. The buyer information must be submitted first as the buyer is in possession of the damaged item.(s) We can not file the claim until the Buyer completes all required paperwork, takes photos & submits via email or US mail. The designated time frame for Buyer to complete initial paperwork is 15 days or fewer.
