Oiva Toikka Art Glass Bird Nuutajarvi Notsjo Pre Iittala Blue With Green Beak For Sale
You are offerding on the bird shown in the pictures. It is 2.25" high to the top of his head and 4" from beak to tail. It is signed to the base as per pictures five and six and reads O Toikka Nuutajarvi Notsjo, I am not an expert on this designer or factory but understand that Nuutajarvi merged with Iittala in 1988 and glass was sold under the Iittala name after that date. Therefore I would date this bird to pre 1988 but if I've got that wrong please let me know. It is in good condition with no chips or cracks, however as picture four shows there is a pontil mark to the beak. I am selling another of these as well as many other interesting items and will happily amalgamate to save on postage.
