DESCRIPTION :
This sale is for a very neat old large brass skeleton type key. I can only guess as to what it was used for but I would say a large lock possibly a jail or huge trunk, or even a wine cellar. Who knows it is about 5.375 inches long. I would guess and say that this key is from the 1800s or early 1900s. It has a great patina and some scuffs and scratches from being used and around all this time. This neat old key was cast and then hand worked to fit a specific lock. Not just a plain key !
