Antonius Stradivarius Cremonensis 4/4 Violin

Description:

Presented for your consideration is this neat antique violin. The full size (4/4) violin features a two piece, flame back with an ebony finger board, tuning keys, chin rest and tailpiece. Through one of the f holes the manufacturer marking can be seen. Reads \"Antonius Stradivarius Cremonensis Faciebat Anno 1736.\" The \"Faciebat\" notes that this is a copy of an Antonius Stradivarius. Tuning pegs move with ease. Body is solid with no splits or separation. Bracket for the chin rest is marked with \"Pat\'d Feb. 23, 18. C.F. Albert.\" Comes with two bows which are unmarked and have mother of pearl inlaid frogs. Also comes with a hard shell carrying case. This beautiful violin would make a great addition to any musical instrument collection! A great instrument to repair and restore!

The bows need new hair and the violin needs new strings/needs restringing. Tailpiece is loose and there is a small wear spot on the back of the body. Typical wear from age and playing. The case has some general wear. Overall the violin is in GOOD-VERY GOOD condition and the case is in GOOD condition. Both items are sold AS FOUND. Violin alone measures 23 1/2\" long and 7\" wide at the widest point of the body.
