Fine Old Chinese Peking Glass Carved Snuff Bottle. On both surfaces of the bottle it was carved with a magpie bird standing on plum blossom branches. Magpie, xi que, is homonymous with the word for \"good luck\", while plum blossom, mei, is homonymous with the word for \"eyebrow\". Thus the motif of the design is called \"xi shang mei shao\" which means \"good luck can be seen from one\'s eyebrow\". Very auspicious motif. The color of the carving part and the recessed foot is different from the background. The superb craftmanship shows the Chinese world well-known artistic skills to a high level. The color is very bright. The condition is old but very good. There are traces of use. There\'s a mark at the bottom indicating the age of the item. The stopper is made of blue stone.
