Up for your consideration is a rare vintage original World War Two*** (WW2)***military fighting helmet of unknown origin to me. I AM NOT a WW2 collector and acquired this helmet at an estate sale. I\'ve spoken to a half dozen \"knowledgeable\" collectors and have heard a half dozen different countries as answers! I will leave it at that and not try to speculate, as the buyers and subsequent winner will possess the knowledge to correctly identify it! It\'s in \"as found\" condition with fading, discoloration, staining and minor paint loss. It also appears a lace may be missing inside. The inside leather head gear is in nice condition, albeit \"sweat stained\" from actual usage. The leather is NOT dried out. I couldn\'t find any markings but wouldn\'t know exactly where to look. Overall, not in bad shape for a 70+ year old helmet! This unique helmet displays beautifully and would make a nice addition to a military collectors collection! Please view the many photographic angles. Certainly message me with any questions or concerns, but I guarantee the eventual offer winner will be much more knowledgeable than me.
