Old Stoneware Pottery Vase With 3 Handles Signed Flf Ferrell Owens Teco Fulper?? For Sale
From an estate, this is a wonderfulpiece of early stoneware or pottery thathas 3 handles. The glaze does not goall the way to the base. It is signed on the base with "FLF" which could possibly be Frank L. Ferrell, who worked for Owens Pottery, but he also worked at Roseville and many of the higher end potters. The only other mark that I seeis what looks like an incised circle with a line in it which reminded me of the Rookwood signature but the onlyincising is the circle and line that I can see (I think you can see it in the photos of the base). I tried to research the piece, and didnot find anything comparable in size or color. The vase is about 5 1/4" tall, and widest diameter at the top to the edge of thehandles is about 3"; the base is about 2 1/4" in diameter. This is a wonderful piece!! It has some specks in the glaze thatappear black. I see some tiny glaze pops, anda fewdotswhere there was extra stoneware where theglaze color has worn offwhich you can also see in the photo. The base appears to have some flaws in the stoneware (a few tiny cracks-BUT they do not go through the glaze). There are some old chips to the base, but very minor and appear to have been done long ago. If anyone recognizes who the maker might be I would LOVE to know - I spent hours trying to determine who made this piece for sure, to no avail!! Happy to answer any questions! Thanks for stoppin' by!

So far, I have heard from one nice er who took the time to give me input on this vase. He believes it is Lompoc Pottery made in California in the 1930s. I searched the internet but can not find any examples, although there are many potters in Lompoc California even today. If I get further input, I'll post it.
