Old Very Large Victorian Oval Silver Plated Butlers Tray. It was made in Sheffield England, circa 1870. It must have originated from an Old English Manor House and used over many years for serving the Noble Family at meal times and then at their House functions from time to time as they did in years gone by. It measures 24 inches or 61 cms by 16 1/4 inches or 41.5 cms. It holds a lot of Glasses of Champagne or Wine and food items, ideal for Party or Function. It has 2 Strong Handle Gripping Points at each end and stands on 4 half Bun Feet. It has the odd surface mark no dints and has been continuously polished by the Butler and the silver plate has been polished off on the top surface over the years of use. It still is a Lovely Tray to use copper gives a nice appearance anyway as shown.
