"OLDWARES sales" ANTIQUES & COLLECTIBLES Old Cloisonne Shallow Bowl or Plate Birds & Gold Flakes Offered on sale is this very nice cloisonne shallow bowl or plate. First, let me say that I am not knowledgeable in cloisonne. I do believe this is at least a vintage piece. There are 3 different birds and scrolls with tiny gold flecks throughout the brownish-red background color. The edge is scalloped with a brass edge. The plate measures 9 7/8" across and is 1 3/8" high at the edge. It weighs 1 1/2 pounds. Please use your own judgment for the age. It looks to be in very good condition. I have a cloisonne japanese akasuke vase with dogwood flowers, and a vase with a black background color listed on other sales and will combine shipping.
