From a doll estate I am pleased to offer you this tin metal head doll by Giebeler Falk with very old papers that give Patent information about doll eyes. Incised on back of her head is Giebeler Falk logoStar with a G, also the Number 25 below the logo. I do not know the past history of this doll or the paper work with her, or how they all relate to each other, you get both doll with paperwork in this sale.The three old papers were folded and tucked in her pantaloons at my purchase, they are in nice shape. Page one reads "Aluminum and Wood Doll", below "contributed by Mrs. Emma Clear", there is a number 1,252,469 Patented Jan 8, 1918 by Samuel Marcus which describes the invention of eyes for dolls and other purposes" and goes on, page #2 says "Eye Mechanism Aluminum Doll Head Pat 1252469USA and describes, page #3 shows pencil drawings of head and eye parts.These papers are old and very light weight.Possibly doll infocontributed by Emma Clear in these papers.I am also including the article from March 2013 Antique Doll Collector called "At Last The Great American Doll the story of Giebeler-Falk Doll Corporation".From the early 1900's these dolls were made during the First World War and are American made. I will try to describe this doll and the paperwork with her the best I can. This doll Measures 22" tall being a tin metal shoulder head doll with cloth body. The hands from elbowdown appear to be a painted composition, two fingers on the right hand are chipped off, please email for photos if you like. Lovely face with open and close brown (celluloid"sleepy eyes, painted lashes around the eyes with feathered brown brows, she has painted mouth with rose lipstick and painted teeth. Lovely pink blush on her face with a little dimple in her chin.Wears her original blonde mohair wig with blue bow to match her wonderful blue and lace trim dress. I believe this clothing may be her original. There are antique pantaloons and slip, stockings and leather made shoes.Overall wear throughout butnicely dressed and ready for your display or collection!Ihave taken plenty of photos,please look at my photos as they will serve as part of this description.
