You are offerding on an antique very interesting Ottoman dagger. In my opinion this is a mid 18th century (or older) Ottoman dagger. It was probably a Court Dagger but it features a reinforced mail piecing tip. The blade has a core decorated with a pattern welded/damascus section known as Turkish Ribbon. I have seen few yataghans similarly decorated but never a dagger. The piece has a jade handle that was once decorated with precious stones, now all missing. The dagger is 17-1/2 inches long. It has no scabbard. A very unusual wonderful piece. and have fun... and offer high:-)
