A Smudge Feather is a very personal and meaningful spiritual tool. Tom Gray Elk Rael is a native Denverite and is a Native American affiliated with the Picuris Pueblo, "People of the Hidden Valley”. He is an artist, flute player and story teller. He creates three-dimensional native American artwork which utilizes the "energetic gifts" of the birds and animals, and uses feathers from live birds only when creating his artwork.
