Original 1860s Ambrotype Photo - New York Firemen / Fireman in RARE 1850s Case:
$2855.00

style=\"text-decoration:none\" height=\"27px\" valign=\"middle\" face=\"arial\" sixth-plate ambrotype of two firemen, chiefs, orcommissioners wearing sashes and holding parade horns.

From researching I believe the man on the right could possibly be
Martin B. Brown, who was appointed Fire Commissioner of New York City
in 1865 - maybe that is the event captured in this scene?Ambrotype is in excellent condition with no damage noted. Guaranteed
to be an ambrotype, not a tintype.Housed in a George Washington union case, 3.75\" tall when closed.
The case is considered rare and has as $350.00 price guide value by
itself. In excellent antique condition, apart from a hairline crack or two
and the stain on the label, which doesn\'t affect the ambrotype in any way.
Also, the velvet pad is loose, but is still attached along one side...
an easy fix with glue.Insured shipping
