Original 1915 Koehn WW1 British Military Prismatic Marching Compass Verners Ptn
A Vintage E. Koehn Mk VII Verner's Pattern World War One British Military Prismatic Marching Compass, Swiss Made and in its heavy Leather Case with is Stamped French and Son Ltd, London, who I presume were the Retailer.
Most probably this would have been purchased by and belonged to / used by a British Army Officer.
Koehn is also noted for making Watch Movements for Tiffany and Co.
Compass Serial No :- 16743.
The Compass itself is stamped 1915, and the Case 1916, both are stamped with the British Military Arrow.
Both are in good condition overall with general cosmetic wear and signs of use and age, but with no cracks, splits or discernible damage, and all as shown clearly in the Photographs.
The Compass appears to work as intended, including the Locking Button.
The outside of the Dial which carries the graduations is Mother of Pearl for easier reading in low light.
Everything that is meant to move moves easily and there are no structural issues, the Hinge is all good and strong.
The Glasses are both in good order with only very minor surface wear, they have no cracks, chips or other damage.
A collectable period original, well made, heavy duty, and good quality that would make a great re-enactment item or Film / Theater / Photo Prop.
All the above is as described and shown comprehensively in the pictures, please examine them in close up before you offer, to satisfy yourself as to condition, suitability, etc. of the item(s) shown.

Any questions please get in touch, and good luck should you decide to offer.
I will post in the U.K. by First Class Recorded Mail, and Worldwide by Royal Mail International Signed For.
Many apologies for the increase in Postage, this is down to a Royal Mail price hike ( again ) and not my decision as I hope you will appreciate.
I believe these to be better Postal /Shipping methods for the peace of mind of both Buyer and Seller, and well worth the extra cost, as they are all trackable and /or require a signature on delivery.
More than one Lot to the same Address at the same time will of course be at a discount, please get in touch with your requirements for a quote.
To all potential buyers :- Should you consider my Postage Charges to be expensive I would rather you didn't offer and then leave me bad Detailed Seller Ratings on Postage Cost afterwards, ....I would much prefer that you first take into account the Postage Costs which are displayed clearly in the Listing, and then offer accordingly. Many Thanks.
I always provide a Top-Class service, and a well packed item, please see my response for References.
Thank-you for looking.
