Original 1950s sculptural plant stand – a rare and unusual design
with its creative and somewhat quirky combination of style elements.

The platform surfaces are finished with formica and surrounded by gold metallic rims.
The largest base table is a pastel-shade pink. Its four legs are placed at an angle.
The three small upper platforms are yellow, pink and pale grey.
They are arranged in an ascending pattern.
A musical allusion may have been intended with the addition of the “strings” (rubber).

Dimensions (approx.):
Total height: 70cm (27 ½”)
Size of largest platform/table: 80cm x 34cm (31 ½ ” x 13 ¼ ”)
The small yellow and pink platforms have a diameter of 18cm each (7”)
The pale grey platform at the top measures 30cm x 18cm (11 ¾” x 7”)

The plant stand is an original 1950s item. It is structurally sound and in fairly good vintage condition.
There is some age-related wear, like some scratches and light scuff marks on the wood.
The formica presents with some fading here and there, and the metal screws have darkened.
However, the overall appeal of this interesting and unusual piece is not lessened by this in my opinion.
