You are offerding on an original 1960s desklamp designed by Louis Kalff for Philips. The lampshade is made ofsheet metal lacquered forest green on the outside and white on the inside. The lampshade rests on a metal structure fitted around the bulb casing. The casing is itself encased in a metal cylinder lacquered petrol blue. It rests on a brass decorative fitting and the rest of the stem is made of metal lacquered forest green. The base is made of three brass feet fixed to a central brass base. The original switch is placed on the cord. The Philips label can be found inside the lampshade.

The lamp is in good/fair conditionand in full working order.There are age related scratches, marks and chips on the petrol blue lacquer work. These are particularly prominent along the rim of the lampshade and on the bulb casing cylinder. The white lacquer work has similar age related markings. The lampshade also presents with a 2cm long shallow dent (please see pictures). The lamptakes one Edison screw (screw fit) bulb (not included). It is fitted with a UK plug. As with all vintage electrical equipment, it is advisable to have it checked by a qualified electrician.
