Little Richard was in the height of his career in 1957 with a number of hit records, a lucrative touring schedule, and even a few movie credits to his name – only Elvis Presley was bigger at the time. To join him on this August 8th show in Chattanooga, Tennessee were a number of blues and R&B artists who would become influential rock & roll pioneers – Bobby “Blue” Bland, Junior Parker, the 5 Royales, Wynonie “Mr. Blues” Harris, Big Maybelle, Tab Smith, Jimmy Reed, Noble Watts, and Tony Harris.

This oversized poster, measuring 22” x 28 1/4”, is on thick cardboard similar to other boxing-style posters of the time. It was printed by Globe Posters of Baltimore, a renowned printer of boxing-style posters. It is in incredible shape for being 56 years old. There is the slightest bit of browning around the edges, but none of the images are affected. The poster has four (minor) soft corners, which isn’t unusual for an old boxing-style poster. Overall, this is a wonderful poster in exceptional condition.
