Photo comes with promotional paperwork that gives a short bio of Bill King:
Colonel William B. King - Bill King saw his first combat in early 1944, flying with the 355th Squadron, 354th Fighter Group. He became an Ace on August 25 that year when leading 8 P-51s into a gaggle of 40 FW190s, he got 3 including the lead aircraft. His 105 missions included vital escort duties on D-Day as the 355th took C-47 troop carriers and CG-4 gliders into Normandy. Bill later served in Vietnam.
