First and foremost, I am beyond disappointed to be selling some of the beloved Barry McGee works I have cherished over the last few years, but money is tight, and as of late I have been forced to to let go of various pieces of my art collection. This awesome work was acquired directly from the studio of the man, the master, Barry McGee in San Francisco. This piece is a prime example of the signature, one-of-a-kind mastery that his hand possesses, that has only gotten sharper over the years. The shaded effects he achieves with a simple ballpoint pen are absolutely stunning. The back of the frame also features several graffiti tags that were executed in a metallic pen- which I believe were done a bit after the drawing was completed. The last photo is a cluster of drawings produced in the same period exhibited at Stuart Shave Modern Art in London. McGee's work is in some of the best collections and museums in the world. I am very adamant this piece goes to a true lover of his work, and not someone who is going to purchase the work, and immediately re-sell at a higher price.
