Small Civil War Era Gambling Dice Set

Turned Steer Horn Dice Cup with 5Bone Original Dice!

c. 1820—1860

Thisis a perfect example of what a soldier or tavern owner would have usedin the early 18th century to gamble. It measures about 2.46” (63 mm) tall x 1.46”(37 mm) base and includes 5 original .46” (11 mm) bovine bone dice. Great untouched example from the early 1800s.

The small dice cup is hand-made from bovine (cow) steer horn on a lathe from a translucent, bovine steer horn {see photo # 5}.

Condition: Very good museum quality condition with norepairs or restorations. Period correct aging on the 5 bovine bone dice.

Displays beautifully or could be used in Civil War reenactments!
