Manfred Albrecht Freiherr von Richthofen (2 May 1892 – 21 April 1918) was a German fighter pilot known as the "Red Baron". He was the most successful flying ace of the Imperial German Army Air Service (Luftstreitkräfte) during World War I, being officially credited with 80 confirmed air combat victories.
Germanautobiography by the Red Baron (Manfred von Richthofen). Itcontains 262 pages and 22photos on plates withphotos of Richthofen and his leaders, relatives, friends and comrades and also some military art.Published in the early thirties in Berlin, Germany. Please note that it was introduced and continued by Richthofens brother after the Red Baron's death onApril 21, 1918. Included are words of praise byWilhelm II. andHindenburg.With 18 facsimile signatures of members of Richthofen's squadron (in that sense "signed"; see photo # 10). The book measures (nearly) 8 x 5 inches. Black linen covers and red plane image. The book is invery goodcondition.
