Original ID\'ed WWII 2nd MARINE RAIDER BATTALION Uniform & Record!!!Named to Sgt. Elton M. Adams who was an original member ofF andlater ECompany of Carlson\'s 2nd Raider Battalion. Adams saw action at Midway Island (June 4th - 7th, 1942), Guadalcanal\'s famous \"Long Patrol\" (November4 - December 17th, 1942) . . . it was while on the \"Long Patrol\" that Adams was wounded in action (November 24th, 1942). Adams also took part in combat actions on Bougainville (November 1st, 1943 to January 12th, 1944) . . . Last but not least he was transferred to Company A, 1st Battalion, 26th Marines, 5th Division and say action on Iwo Jima (February 19th, toMarch 7th, 1945 at which time he was wounded in action a second time). The Corporal chevron on the right sleeveis firmly attached but slightly loose on the bottom right. PLEASE NOTE: In order to aoffere by rules the PH is NOT included with this sale!! I was only able to upload one more photo so I chose the one of the left sleeve because it shows both the manufacturer info and date along with E.M. Adams name. The right sleeve also has his name written inside but it is faint.

Upon closer inspection it looks like you can see the faint outline of a 5th MarDiv patch that was once hand sewn on. Most likely removed by Adams himself or a family member.
