For your consideration is a stunning original oil landscape done by artist Matthew Higgins of West Chester, PA. This piece was completed in 2010 with an approximate 2 hours invested. The painting is of a field house in Chester County, PA on a warm spring day. Matthew Higgins studied at West Chester University where he received a bachelors in fine arts. He currently studies in Philadelphia at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. M. Higgins is well known locally for his depiction of rural landscapes in South Eastern Pennsylvania. He uses an impressionistic style which incorporates rich natural colors complimented by thick layers of oil. 

I have had the opportunity to meet with Matthew Higgins on several occasions where he has explained to me the personal relationships he builds with each one of his paintings. Several of his paintings have been displayed in local galleries, cafes, and restaurants. Some of his recent works have sold in excess of $3000.
