\"Mendenham Abbey\"

This vintage old print is of Mendenham Abbey in England. In gold color frame, label on back states it is an original print, circa 1840, Registered No. 366. Notes state \"Founded in 1200 by Hugh de Bolivar for the Cisterian Monks, it is now in ruins. It was a part of Woburn Abbey and was partially restored in the 18th century. It acquired notoriety as a meeting place of a club of debauches.\" Measures 10\" x 12\". The frame has some blemishes (see pics), but overall still displays beautifully.
