?This is an ORIGINAL example of theknife issued to Doughboys during WWI for use with their mess kits in the field. The spoon is in VERY GOOD condition with an aluminum handle and non-stainless steel blade, which shows tarnishing butno sharpening loss.The obverse side of the handle has a molded \"U.S.\" and\"A.C. Co.\" (Aerial Cutlery Company)and a 1917 date of manufacture.Aerial Cutlery was a relatively rare manufacturer of utensils, since the bulk of their production facilities were used for manufacturing the M1917 knuckle knife.
