Original Scarce 1950's Superman String Holder Dc Comics C9.5+ Mint Condition For Sale
I am listing 2 SCARCE Original 1950's Superhero String Holders tonight. Like anything else collectible, condition means everything. The string holders in these two sales are as close to MINT as you will ever find. They are virtually impossible to upgrade. Couple their amazing condition with the fact that they are extremely hard to find (especially the Wonder Woman)......these may very well be the finest examples known. I am letting the current market determine the value of these two iconic pieces. They will be sold in true sale form - with a low opening offer and NO HIDDEN RESERVE. Someone will own these at sales end! So here is SUPERMAN!He measures 6" wide x 7.5" high x 3" deep and is made out of painted plaster (chalkware). Superman is circa 1950s and has an incised "DC Comics" copyright
at the bottom of his neck. There is a recessed area in back to hold string and a hole (as made) in his mouth to dispense the string. The original wire hanger is located on the reverse at the top, also as made. Superman's ever-present spit curl
is much in line with his 1950's appearance. Scarce. NO chips, cracks, breaks or repairs. Superman is in the very best condition one can wish for!
