On offer is an original coloured ink on mulberry paper painting in the Korean traditional ink and water genre signed by the artist and sealed. It is a mountain scene wet mounted on mulberry paper. This item was purchased in South Korea in 2016 at sale. The item is located in Canada and no taxes are due on purchases made from outside Canada (i.e.: international purchases).Please, note that the painting will need to be mounted and framed by someone familiar and experienced with East Asian art.

Pen Name: Okjusanin

Born in Jindo, Jeonam, South Korea

This artist started to learn painting from Heo,Baekryun in 1947. He exhibited his work from 1958 to 2002. He was a referee for many competitions between 1970 to 1984. From 1954 to 1959 he worked as a high school teacher and from 1964 to 1968 as an instructor at prestigious Hongik University in Seoul.

The painting, which is in very good original condition, measures 69 X 69 cms or 27.25 X 27.25 inches, contains a poem, artist\'s signature and double seals in red ink in the top left side of the painting. The poem can be roughly translated as:

\"The Waterfall breaks the light of Blue Mountain with one long line,

10,000 Year Old Road flies like one long silk ribbon.\"

Items will be carefully and securely wrapped in layers of bubble/foam wrap and shipped in a sturdy corrugated box either via USPS Media Mail to the US continental states OR via Canada Post within Canada to 1) reasonably economize depending on the location of the winning buyer, 2) to track the item and 3) minimize the potential for any in-transit shipping damage. I can hold items for a short time period and combine with other successful winning items (from me) to offset shipping expenses.
