Antique Victorian White Cotton Dressing Night Gown Tucks and Embroidery
Here\'s a pretty Victorian white cotton night or dressing gown from the 1880\'s - 1890\'s era. Made of nice quality cotton. The gown features a deep \"V\" front with 10 rows of tucks, three in each row, on either side of the front opening. A small stand up collar is edged in narrow whitework embroidery trim. The same trim edges the wide cuff. Two pearl buttons on each cuff (although each cuff has one button missing). The front opening extending to about the waist, closes with 4 pearl buttons. A gathered yoke across the back is a nice accent. Gown is generously full. Side seams are flat felled. Condition is very nice except for the two missing buttons. Very clean. Measurements: 52\" long from the neck line to the hem. 18\" across the dropped shoulders. 44\" around the bust. Sleeve length is 21-1/2\" long. 8-1/4\" circumference around the cuff.
