Original Classic WW1 US Army M1918 combat coat and M1917 helmet. Both in solid and presentable condition. The coat displays a very heavy wool serge exterior showing good mustard khaki color and excellent full winter liner of black cotton. All stiching is tight. A few minor snags. Nothing detracting. All buttons are missing. The helmet is like wise solid with no pitting, cracking or bends. Minor storage dust and scuffs. With a dobly and water it should come out looking very nice. Coat fits nicely on a size 38 mannequin. Nothing rare about his set....just a nice original WW1 uniform group. But, with a bit of effort it could easily be re-buttoned and a reproduction liner added to the helmet. Would be a nice reenactor\'s set. Or leave as is and use it as background gear in a trench diorama. Or built this set up to any unit desired. It\'s being offered cheap enough to make all options worthwhile.
