This is a large original pastel drawing on sandpaper. The palette is largely shades of pastel in browns, blues, greens and pinks against the black costumes. The subject is a ballet studio scene, predominated by a full length portrait of a young female dancer.
A young ballerina is posed in the center of a large ballet studio. She wears a spaghetti strapped black leotard, pink tights, point shoes and a black rehearsal classic short tutu. Her weight leans forward onto the tip of her right point shoe. Her hands are adjusting her tutu while she looks down to her right. A second ballerina can be seen in the back. The studio is shown quite abstractly, large light blue mirror shapes on a green wall.
The work is in pristine condition and signed by the artist.
