The original 1570 edition of the Theatrum Orbis Terrarum (Theatre of the World), consists of 70 maps. Our collection is available individually (all 70 Large Format Wall Maps - please ask), as just a few of the more popular maps are listed on .
Abraham Ortelius is the most prominent cartographer of the 16th century. Many of his maps were based upon sources that no longer exist or very rare.
This beautiful map offers marvelousdetail and colouration. The original 1570 map would cost thousands, yours here for a fraction of that price!
PLEASE NOTE: The quality of the finished product that you will receive is superb, the pictures here are just an indication of the maps features. It is impossible to list the image on showing the true quality as the files are too big. You will not be disappointed with the quality of these maps showing beautiful aging tones.
