Up for sale with is a Rare Pair of 17th Century Brass Pricket Church Candlesticks or Candle Spikes. The Candlesticks show great early form and I am sure they would be English or Dutch in origin. I have done my best to show the Candlesticks apart to show the turning, the bolt portions are all Hand Turned on a Lathe, which is consistent with them being very early examples. The Candlesticks are in good all original condition throughout with some losses to the top portions, an old repair to one and spotting throughout from not being polished in decades, we prefer to leave everything original. The Candle Spikes are a large and impressive pair with each measuring 16-1/4" tall by 5" wide across the base. The Pair is also very heavy weighing 10 pounds combined and I was told they were found in a Church in Quebec about 40 years ago. I doubt you will find another Pair like this any time soon, especially up for sale with !
