Pair Vintage Art Deco Green Porcelain Bathroom Sconces:
Pair of vintage Art Deco
green porcelain bathroom sconces. These probably date from the 1930s
and have dramatic, Art Deco styling. The color is a lovely seafoam or jadeite green.
They each have a two-prong plug receptacle on the underside
(see photos 5 through 8),
and come with the original mounting bolts. These sconces are in excellent condition,
with no chips, cracks, or other major flaws. There is a bit of barely noticeable crazing in the glazed finish,
as would be expected in porcelain pieces of this age,
but one must look closely to even see it.There are also a couple of tiny dots of paint splatter
that should come off with a bit of elbow grease. The cloth wiring appears original and the sconces
should probably be rewired for safety. They each take a standard-base lightbulb.
They would look fantastic with rounded, clear-glass bulbs
or vintage-style Edison bulbs.Measurements:
The sconces are each about 7 inches tall,
4 1/2 inches across at their widest part,
and project about 4 inches from the wall.Perfect for restoring your vintage bathroom
or adding a touch of retro charm to newer construction! Please !
