Large Italian sterling silver four piece tea/coffee set on rectangular sterling tray in a sleek Modernist interpretation of classic 18th c. forms, all pieces with broad thread molding at base and collar and with lacquered wood handles and finials. The tray measures 21 7/8 inches across from handle to handle end by 15 1/2 inches deep by 1 inch high at the handles. The coffee pot with hinged lid measures about 10 inches high to top of finial and is 5 3/8 inches across by 4 1/2 inches wide at the base. The teapot with hinged lid measures about 8 1/2 inches high to top of finial and is 6 1/4 inches across by 5 inches wide at the base. The sugar with removable lid measures about 5/12 inches high to top of finial, 4 5/8 inches across by 3 1/2 inches wide at the base. The creamer measures 4 1/2 inches high to top of collar and is 3 5/8 inches across by 3 inches wide at the base. All pieces are marked on the lower thread edge \"Pampaloni\" followed by another mark and \"925\" and \"Sterling\". The set and tray weigh 182 troy ounces including the handles and finials. The three finials have some loss to the lacquer, and there\'s one tiny ding below the handle on the coffee pot, a shallow dent along the rim of the tray in to the field and numerous shallow scratches and a bit of scuffing on the tray, and some tarnish, otherwise in good condition.
